The Department of Family Medicine and Primary Care, and the Collaboratory to Advance Person-Centred Serious Illness Care cordially invites you to attend the lunchtime seminar "Beyond The Office Visit: The Future of Primary Care" by Harvard Associate Professor, Dr. Ishani Ganguli


About the Seminar: Primary care is the foundation of high-functioning health systems, with proven benefits for population health, but recent shifts in the health care landscape threaten to compromise these benefits. Dr. Ganguli will share research and insights on how innovations in primary care delivery and payment can meet this moment in the U.S. and globally.

Target: Staff and students of the Li Ka Shing Faculty of Medicine

*Due to limited capacity on-site, kindly note that in-person attendance is on a first come, first serve basis. We will inform attendees on Aug 10th whether their in-person registration was successful. If the in-person seminar is full, we will provide the Zoom link instead.


About the Speaker: Ishani Ganguli is an Associate Professor of Medicine, health services researcher, and practicing primary care physician at Harvard Medical School and Brigham and Women’s Hospital. Her research focuses on primary care payment, delivery, and policy; the use and consequences (cascades) of low-value care; innovation and tradeoffs in ambulatory care for older adults; and gender equity. Dr. Ganguli serves as an Associate Editor at JAMA Internal Medicine and as a member of the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine Standing Committee on Primary Care. She is also a former journalist who has written about science and health care for The Boston Globe and The Washington Post, among other publications. She received her AB, MD, and MPH from Harvard University and completed internal medicine/primary care residency and a health policy and management fellowship at Massachusetts General Hospital.
